This can include hearing voices, seeing things that are not there, or feeling sensations that have no physical basis.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second symptom is delusional thoughts, which are false beliefs that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are not in line with cultural norms and cannot be changed, even when presented with evidence to the contrary.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-920b4f0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"920b4f0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-large\">Hoarding<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3742a06 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3742a06\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoarding is persistent difficulty in discarding or parting with possessions. Most commonly hoarded items include.For persons with hoarding behaviour, saved items are not necessary worthless or invaluable.There are common mental health conditions linked to hoarding such as schizophrenia, depression, OCD and dementia. However, hoarding behaviour is not a determinant of a mental health diagnosis.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-30819c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"30819c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-large\">Personality Disorder<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1e0c201 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1e0c201\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Personality Disorder is a deeply ingrained and maladaptive pattern of thoughts, emotions and behaviour that often result in long-term difficulties in daily functioning. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Examples may include the following general cluster of features:<\/span><\/p><p><b><\/b><strong>Cluster A<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paranoid, Schizoid, and Schizotypal Personality Disorders. This disorders are characterised by:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Odd or eccentric behaviours<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social isolation<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Difficulty forming close relationships<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Cluster B<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic,and Narcissistic Personality Disorders. This disorders are<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">characterised by:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dramatic, emotional and erratic behaviours<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Impulsivity<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Difficulty regulating emotions<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Cluster C<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avoidant, Dependent and Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorders. This disorders are<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">characterised by:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anxious or fearful behaviours<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A need for control or perfection<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Difficulty with decision-making or independence<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Generally, people diagnosed with personality disorders tend to be quite rigid in the ways they think, feel and behave. Getting them to conform to other different ways of functioning will only make them more distressed. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, there is no medication for personality disorder but psychotherapy can be used to help persons with personality disorder better recognise the effects of their behaviour on others<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0e52f01 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0e52f01\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-xl\">Treatment and Management of Mental Health Conditions<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-74168ce elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"74168ce\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are different approaches to treat and manage mental health conditions. The same medication\/therapy that work for one individual might not work be effective for another. Different people may take different amounts of time to recover.
