For instance, the tax rate is adjusted to 7%<ul><li>Tax code: SST 7%<\/li><li>Tax rate: 7<\/li><li>Set the new tax rate as default<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-3523cec elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"3523cec\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-c0dcd84\" data-id=\"c0dcd84\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d5363df elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d5363df\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Once the tax rate is set up and set as default, generate a billing as usual.\u00a0<\/p><p>The automation of the SST depends on 2 factor:<\/p><ol><li>The tax amount is created and set as default<\/li><li>The patient&#8217;s ID Type<\/li><\/ol><div>As you can see from the following images, if the patient&#8217;s ID Type is NRIC\/Army with the code &#8220;MYIC&#8221;, the Tax amount is automatically set to 0% in both the billing &amp; invoice portion.<\/div><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-17569\" src=\"https:\/\/www.medicare-asia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/MY-tax-1024x289.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"289\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-17568\" src=\"https:\/\/www.medicare-asia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/MY-tax-2-1024x572.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" \/><\/p><p>Should the ID type be anything other than &#8220;MYIC&#8221;, Vanda will automatically set the tax rate to 6%.
